Live Session #43 | Launch of HCD Toolkit! 

Join us in celebrating the debut of our HCD toolkit on the Proportion website, designed for those keen on implementing HCD in real-world scenarios. This platform allows users to effortlessly search for tools and access them in various formats, including PDF, Google Slide, and Canva. But there’s more: as a Proportion Global member, you gain insights into how these tools are utilized in practice, discover practical advice and tips from fellow practitioners, and identify members who have already applied certain tools for potential one-on-one advice. In exchange, we encourage you to contribute your own experiences and insights. This collaborative approach fosters a community-driven resource of tools, curated by and for designers.

What is the focus of this session?

This online toolkit, developed by community members Ahmed, Udoka, and Lisanne, will be showcased in an interactive demonstration. The team will guide participants through navigating the toolkit and present the initial batch of collaboratively created tools. This will be followed by a segment dedicated to testing and providing feedback, offering you a chance to suggest enhancements.

During the latter half of the live session, we’ll dive deeper into a specific toolkit category: Design Research Tools.

• Which research methodologies do you prefer for design research tasks?
• How can we extend our toolset beyond traditional methods like interviews and focus groups?
• Which tools enable us to gain a deeper understanding of user experiences, unearth novel insights, or find inspiration?
